We had our math chapter quiz this morning. I wasn’t able to study last night because of my sluggishness. I decided to study early morning. To my surprise math is the first subject. Another problem hit in me in the face. My table was missing! It took me 10 minutes to find it. Then a scavenger hunt took place. I need to borrow a compass, protractor and a ruler. This took me another 10 minutes. There goes 20 minutes! I barely have 10 more minutes to study for a long chapter quiz in my favorite subject (notice the sarcasm here). To my surprise it wasn’t hard! I just needed more time because I wasn’t able to finish. This day progressed fast. I never noticed that this day was over. In A.P. my teacher told us that the world is a mere dust in the universe. This made me think. Indeed, we are comparable to a speck of dust. It’s more evidence that there is a creator out there. What force created all of these things? There really is a higher being. I noticed that there is a big switchero in my subjects. A.P. is talking about technology after the renaissance which is supposed to be taught by our Science teacher. Science is becoming math thanks to Stoichiometry. Math is becoming drafting because of the concentric circles, chord and yadda yadda yadda. Moving on, I’ve observed that a lot of people have colds today. I was listening to wave 89.1 while I was on my way to school. Anne, the DJ, sounded like she had mucus on her nose. Then she informed her listeners that she doesn’t feel well because she had colds. She apologized and asked her listeners to bear with her. Even a lot of the people I know experience this dilemma. Maybe because it’s becoming extremely cold in the classroom and it has become a good environment for the virus. Do you know how cold it was? I had to transfer seats because I was freezing. Another minute in my chair could make me a frozen delight for Selecta. Anyway, I became aware that EJ had a different aura this morning. It’s as if he woke up in the wrong side of the bed. We asked him about it. We found that it was about the nasty comment given by a social climbing back stabbing low-class imbecile! Ej never deserves that comment for goodness sake! Moving on, as usual I watched another Smallville episode. This time it made me think about going to school in USA. I was awed by the fact that they have stereotypes. E.g. the cheerleader would always be popular and a Malibu Barbie material. The jock, which is usually a quarterback and the male counter part of the cheerleader, would always have all the girls drooling over him. The nerd would always be a freak! I asked several friends of mine, who happen to be studying in Los Angeles and Florida, if these hierarchy in the school exist. I got a yes for an answer. All of them said that the popular people are not really mean. They coexist with the rest of the group harmoniously. Hollywood is overdoing it. My cousin happens to be one of the popular cheerleaders in school. Pinoy pride! She told me that she doesn’t belittle anyone. She became famous there because she drives her own car and she has her own cellphone. Owning a cellphone there was really a big deal. What more if it was a camera phone? She is all so the best dancer in the dance troupe. Plus her tanned pinoy skin made all the difference. Gosh I love our skin color! Why do people have to buy whitening lotion? Our skin color is beautiful. Why do you think Americans or let’s say Caucasians pay thousands of dollars just to get tanned?
