It was suppose to be a long rest last Friday, Saturday and Sunday since it was a long weekend due to the commemoration of the people power revolution. Contrary to having a long rest I ended up being hysterical. My schedule was jam-packed to the point that I barely had the time to relax. I didn’t even bother to write a new entry since I haven’t got the chance to do so. It was project weekend. All I did was to accomplish everything in my list. I’m sad to say that I barely finished half of these projects! It has been a stressful weekend. Aside from that, we planned a surprise party for my dad last Saturday which was successfully executed yesterday. My dad was totally clueless about the celebration. He thought we prepared nothing so he planned to have lunch at one of our favorite fine dining restaurants. I ended up really full. I totally forgot that we planned a surprise party for him! I shouldn’t have eaten that much because we still have a surprise celebration to attend to. After that gourmet meal, which was prepared by my favorite chef, we proceeded to shopping. The sole purpose of this shopping fiasco is for me and my sister to buy something to wear to the promenade. I ended up buying a very grandeur classic coat. When I saw it, I immediately fell in love with it. I knew very well that this was the coat I’m going to buy. God, the price made my dad’s jaw drop. I wasn’t expecting it to be that expensive. With my persuading skills, I tried my best to make him buy it. In the end it was sweet victory for me! If you could only hear my evil laughs within. I told my dad that it was “My precious!”. That statement sounded ala Lord of the rings. Anyway, today was the day of truth. It was our debate. I was really nervous about this because I felt that our opponent was more experienced than us. Thus, I thought that it was most likely difficult to win this debate. Plus the fact that we were for the legalization of prostitution made it somewhat difficult. My personal stand would be anti-prostitution. So it was really difficult for me to defend something against my beliefs. I had no choice but to do my best. I was so surprised with the judgement! I never expected to win this debate. Never in my wildest dreams did I think of winning this debate. The opponents were synonymous to super power. It was composed of Ez , Ivan and Aaron. Two of them we’re the 1st runner up in the fresher’s cup. To top it all up, comes the best debater achievement. I was shocked that I was chosen for this. I thought that it would go to Aaron or EZ. Now, that was some kind of a surprise. Now it got me thinking. Maybe I should be in Deb Soc.
