WHAT HAPPENED?

Finally, after 700 years I’ve updated my blog! The reason behind my sudden disappearance from the blogging scene is because I’ve been doing a lot of work lately. When I say work I mean work literally. I’ve been recently hired by mom as her personal secretary for the whole duration of summer. Thanks to my computer education I was able to handle everything well. Those days with excel and the stuff I’ve learned from my computer class is useful after all. I enjoy working for my mom since I get exposed to the entertainment business. It gives me a feel as to how the business goes. The best part is that I get paid for doing the job! My mom is a tough boss. She had me done several proposals for big clients and I must tell you that it’s nerve wrecking. I mean, what happens when I screw up? Another reason why I haven’t updated my blog last week is because I was having my vacation. I was in Cedar Creek last week not just for a vacation but also for a business trip. I haven’t enjoyed much since my mom is there having me to do errands for her like making a time table, fixing her schedule and things like that. Anyway, the money was worth all the hard work. After I received my first salary, I immediately went shopping. I had to do so because I have to buy some stuff for the ILC. I bought a travelling bag from coach since the zipper of my old bag is busted. I bought a new vanity kit from Lacoste because I needed a bigger one because I need to fit my toiletries there. I also bought 2 pairs of sunglasses because all of my sunglasses are missing. I think I lost one pair during the exposure trip. The thing is I keep on forgetting my shades elsewhere. If there is one thing I hate about myself it would be my ability to mislay my shades. I also bought a new Burberry wallet because my old wallet is lost. Now I think you see the picture. I didn’t shop because I want to it’s more of I need to. I was disappointed because I didn’t expect those few stuff to bankrupt me. I still wanted this Burberry tissue container but my money is not enough. I don’t need it anyway! I attended debate practice a while ago. I’m surprised as to how much I’ve learned in a short period of time. I’ve been educated that debate is more than being good in English and winning. It’s a lifestyle and at the same time a commitment. I know that we are all newbies there but the fact that we are willing to learn and to fight for our school is enough to fuel us. I know that God is with us all the way and he is part of our debate team. I’ve learned about debating with honor. I’ve been told that a certain school is not following the right protocol of giving out team splits. I’m proud that Claret is not doing that and the school’s debate team has fought with honor. Moving on, I find it really miserable to know that a great leader has just passed away. I was disheartened by the pope’s loss. I don’t know where the pain is coming from because I have no relations to the pope whatsoever. I wasn’t even able to see him during his visit here but the moment I saw the announcement that he passed away tears started to fall from my eyes. The world lost a great political and spiritual head. It’s pretty much like having a family member die. He is known as the people’s pope. He was the type who didn’t wait for us to go to him. Au contraire he went to us! Yes, he was loved because he himself went to the people. In fact he is the most travelled pope having 129 countries in his passport. He was the key to the abolishment of communism in Europe. He played a huge role in becoming a bridge to unite us with other religions in the world. Pope John Paul II is the first Pope to be inside a Muslim mosque. It was a pretty bold move! I admire him for that. He is the epitome of charisma. According to what I’ve watched in CNN he would really focus on you whenever he speaks to you. He would always make you feel special. I love the fact that the pope has a special place for the Filipino people in his heart. This information might surprise you but contrary to the belief that he went to the Philippines for 2 times he was able to go here 3 times. His first visit here was when he was only a cardinal. He even rode a taxi to Baclaran church. He was surprised as to how the church was still full on a Wednesday. We lost a great man of the Lord. This entry is dedicated to the late Pope John Paul II. His 26 years of service requires nothing less than a round of applause. I’m requesting you to offer a small prayer for a great man!
